BIO
Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Selena Templeton moved to
Los Angeles to pursue her writing career and the year-round sunshine.
Seriously. It rains 360 days out of the year up there. So after snagging an
English degree at SFU, she left for Lotusland. She has been published in The
Hollywood Reporter and on
eHow.com, and wrote/produced
several short films, the most recent of which won third place in the Akira
Kurosawa Short Film Competition and took her to Japan. Traveling is one of her
great loves, whether its to the other side of the world or the other side of
her mind. Shes been to Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, Montreal, New York,
Madrid, Tokyo and her subconscious (for which travel insurance is recommended).
She has submitted her first novel to a publisher for consideration (and is
finding it difficult to walk around with all her fingers and toes crossed) and
is working on a spec script after years of doing script coverage that made her
think, I can do better than that!' (though hopefully her screenplay isn't as
clichd as her motivation). During her sixteen minutes of spare time each day
she enjoys yoga, running (for exercise, not from the law), reading, correcting
other people's grammar, parentheses (obviously), movies, lawn latts and her wonderful friends and family.
